Butte Lab focuses on genetic diseases deriving from rare immune dysfunctions in children and adults. Our projects aim to improve diagnosis, treatment, and cures for infections, autoimmunity issues, immune dysregulation, and cancer. We work in vaccine development, metabolism, and mechanobiology. Many of our projects use techniques from bioengineering, advanced microscopy, synthetic biology, and genetic sequencing. By researching how the immune system works, we improve our ability to treat autoimmune conditions, cancer, and infections.
